ReplyDeleteI can't believe Buttonwoods is dead...It was the best kept secret in Terre Haute, and like magic in my belly.... I just wrote a paper on the restaurant for my English Composition class, and recommended it to my hairdresser for her anniversary... Now I'm just depressed. There is no where in Terre Haute I can go to get good food now...

ReplyDeleteThis is heartbreaking for us, and I'm sure for everyone there as well. Buttonwoods was our favorite restaurant in the world--and I mean that literally. I'm sad that we weren't in a position to support it more in the past year, and completely disconsolate that we weren't able to eat there for our anniversary this year. I don't even want to think about our future anniversary celebrations--they'll just be a hollow reminder of what we once had. I wish everyone there the best, and I hope & pray that one day Buttonwoods will rise again.
ReplyDeleteI'm devastated to hear of ButtonWood's closure! It's been such a gem in this community and a wonderful celebration of our local growers. I'm grateful that we've had the chance to cherish a few meals in the past
